Your Weight Watchers membership
To join Weight Watchers you need to be at least 10lb above the minimum weight for your height on our healthy weight range.
If you’re between 13 and 18 years of age, we’ll ask you for written approval from your GP, who must assign you a temporary weight target. Your parent or guardian must also give written approval and attend each class with you. The GP leaflet and parental forms are available in your local class.
If you are pregnant, under the age of 13 or have an active diagnosis of bulimia nervosa or anorexia we can’t take you at this time. If you’re already a member and you become pregnant your membership will be suspended, you can return once your baby is 6 weeks old. Weight Watchers leaders aren’t qualified to give you advice about diet and weight during pregnancy.
On your registration form, you’ll find a statement that asks you to accept responsibility for your own health while you’re following the Weight Watchers program – we will ask that you sign this.
We recognize that some of our members have different circumstances and needs. Sometimes attending weekly meetings may not be the most appropriate way for you to follow our plan. Weight Watchers also offers WeightWatchers At Home or call Head Office, # 130 Collins Avenue, Nassau - 394-0148 or 325- (SLIM) 7546
When you join:
You have a choice of ways to pay for Weight Watchers membership:
Prepay is the best value: you get 12 weeks for the price of 10 or 6 weeks for the price of 5.
Pay on a weekly basis. You will pay a one-off registration fee and a weekly fee for consecutive weeks. Making a commitment to come each week helps you stay motivated. Your membership allows for 2 weeks holiday every 6 months. If you are going on holiday, let your leader know and you will not be charged for your return. Outside your holiday allowance, missed week fees apply, to a maximum of 3. You never pay more than the joining fee for missed weeks. See costs
Additional benefits of Weight Watchers membership
If for some reason you can’t make it to the usual class you can to go to any regular Weight Watchers class (anywhere in the world that Weight Watchers is offered!). Just present your current membership card and pay the weekly fee (while abroad it’s the fee applicable to that country).
If you want to go to more than one class in a week, you don’t have to pay again but we’ll only weigh you once a week. Check in with the clerk at each class you attend presenting your current membership card.
